History

Bensons Trading Company is a family owned company that has been in Business for over 60 years. The history of the company is one of change and evolution as would be expected from an entity that has been in business for this length of time. There has been gradual change from what could be termed as an agency based business to more the importer/ retailer nowadays. Bensons has operated agencies as diverse as ‘Scrabble’ to ‘Heineken Beer’ over the years. Approximately 35 years ago it was decided that our future lay in retail. Indeed our overseas contact, the movement to the importer retailer role was a natural progression.

Whilst we still have a very strong whole sale business in the carnival, novelty & redemption area, the majority of our company’s activity is in what we term as the retail of ‘Show bags at agricultural ‘Shows’ throughout Australia.

We providing efficient importing, warehousing and wholesale distribution services in novelty, plush, toy and confectionary products to the Australian Market place.

Products and Services

Bensons Trading Company is a wholesaler in novelties and show bags to small to medium size customers. We supply premium and specialise in the retailing of show bags. Bensons has two sides to the business we retail in show bags at Agricultural and Regional shows Australia wide. We also wholesale in carnival plush, novelties and confectionary to the redemption and retail markets.

Here at Bensons we offer a diverse product line, as well as a broad dollar value range which suits both ends of the market. We take into consideration the needs of our customers and today’s market. In doing so we currently hold over 50 licensed brands and also offer a broad range of generic products.
